Jeff Lisandro took the second event at the World Series of Poker Europe at the Leicester Square Casino, London beating 120 other poker players. He won the £5,000 Pot Limit Omaha match, which has the competitions 12th largest prize money of £159,000 and gives him his first non-stud WSOP bracelet as well.

Lisandro who was last years WSOP Player of the Year went heads up against Joe Serock and beat his Ks-5h-6h-7s with an As-Qs-6s-2c. The flop was dealt to reveal 9s-Jh-8d, so Lisandro led with an ace high, this was followed by 2d-Js and gave him his fifth bracelet from a WSOP tour.

This is the fourth time the £5,000 buy-in PLO event was held in London and with 20 other previous bracelet winners in the field and four making the final table this was a hard fought for title. Chris Bjorin, Willie Tann and Jeff Madsen all made it to the finish line but it was Lisandro who won the day.

The final table result was Lisandro and Serock, with Willie Tann in third place and Jeff Marsden taking fourth. From here it was John Racener in fifth, Karl Mahrenholtz sixth and Felipe Ramos at seven, Jeff Kimber took eighth and the first out of the match was Chris Bjorin.

In totally eighteen players went away happy with money in their pockets but the attendance for the event was disappointingly down on last years figures.
