On the North American Poker Tour, Bounty Shootout at the Crystal Casino in Los Angeles sees the main event reach its final table. There were 81 hopeful poker players who started the Bounty Shootout earlier in the week but that has now been whittled down to the final nine.

This proved to be a popular tournament and with a strong field and great expectations seats at the event had to be limited, selling out well before the start. Buy-ins for the event were $5,000 and were divided 80/20 with $4,000 going towards the prize money and $1,000 into the bounty shootout fund.

The entrants included such well known faces in poker as Sorei Mizzi, Bertrand “Elky” Grosspellier, Lauren Kling, Jon Aguiar and Antonio Esfandiari but they all failed to make the grade and went home early. The final nine sees Justin Young, Clint Coffee, Tom Marchese, Michael Mizrachi, Eric Baldwin, David Williams, Pat Prezzin, Moshin Charania and Kevin MacPhee all sitting down together on Thursday evening.

They will be playing for the grand first prize of $134,280 and the player who has won the most bounties has a seat at the PCA Bounty Shootout. Currently the leaders in this part of the competition are Michael Mizrachi, Tom Marchese and Moshin Charania who each have four hits. With the last round still to be played out later, the leader board could all change quite rapidly.
