Nottingham Goes From Dusk till Dawn
Nottingham’s Dusk till Dawn venue has found its events are really gathering pace at the minute and not long after hosting the most attended poker tournament in the UK they saw their popular DTD competition draw the crowds in once again.
Last week they broke the British record when 900 poker players paid the £50 buy-in to enrol for the event, smashing the previous largest gathering in London. This week the events popularity continued at they held their biggest ever Deep Stack event. The poker play was once again televised and shown on Virgin TV as a massive 459 players showed up and paid the £300 buy-in.
The attendance ensure that the Dust Till Dawn poker tournament was easily able to keep its promise of a guaranteed £100,000 prize pool when the numbers ensured there was £137,000 to spread around the successful players. The popularity of the venue meant that the tournament was sold out the day before and this will prove promising for the organisers when they host the £1000 Monte Carlo Deep Stack event towards Christmas time.
After two days of intense play the last eight players all received a minimum £9,000 cut of the prize month, while the last three players dividing £17,000 between them. The eventual winner on the night was Danny Tran who ultimately went home with a cheque for £20,000 to the good.
