Second Blood to Isildur1 in Poker Showdown
The second of the head to head contests with the unknown online poker player Isildur1, evened the score. This time he faced the notoriously antagonistic Tony G, who famously plays an aggressive in-your-face style.
The PokerStar Pro players faced each other in a $50/$100 stake game and unlike the previous encounter against Isaac Haxton, the pair played two tables of no limit Hold’em and two tables of pot limit Omaha. The rules stated that there were 2.500 hands and no extra money introduced during the games.
On the twoplustwo.com forum, after loosing the match Tony G, who is never one to take defeat lying down, called for a rematch. Tony G posted the comment “Lets replay this thing on my home turf at pokerparty asap.” As an extra incentive the Lithuanian born, Australian offered to add $50,000 into the prize pool saying that a competition of this magnitude deserved some serious money. He also agrees to the continued protection of Isildur1’s secret identity.
Tony G who is famous for his vicious verbal attacks on fellow poker players has made two World Poker Tour final tables and made $4.3 million over his illustrious career.
Isildur1 is the masked online poker player, who over the last year has made his name playing high stakes, fast paced games. He is believed to be Swedish and since his sponsorship with PokerStars there has been increased speculation as to his identity, with the majority of bets believing he is the young poker pro Viktor Blom.
