Spectators at the best poker tournament, WSOP November Nine, Main Event in the Rio Casino in Las Vegas saw the contest progress at pace over the weekend. Late Sunday saw the five handed-chip leader Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi eliminated into fifth place when he went all in against Jonathan Duhamel. “The Grinder”, gambling on a Q-8 with a Q-5-4 flop, while Duhamel has pocket aces up his sleeve. Mizrachi had to hope for a queen or an eight when the turn revealed a jack but the river only produced a king.

Mizrachi departed in fifth after an exciting end to his contest and $2.3 million to the good for his efforts. The Grinders fans in attendance all commiserated him as they left while the Duhamel party went mad in response to him taking the chip lead.

Next up was Filippo Candio who went all in holding a promising diamonds suited K-Q combination. Candio found himself against Joseph Cheong with an A-3 clubs, this worked in his favour when the flop added to his ace with A-7-2 and a five on the turn.

Last to leave Sunday evening was Cheong who throw a wild card bet on an unsuited A-7 that didn’t come off when he went all in. Leaving the final table face off between the Canadian Duhamel and John Racener. Duhamel must definitely look the favourite for this one with a 6-1-chip lead but in poker you never know. All will eventually be revealed on Monday night.
