Man City’s Europa League Chances?

The prospects of Manchester City against Juventus at the start of the Europa League competition set sport bet fans heart racing. There was a certain amount of predictability to the draw, with all those putting down their money and the bookmakers feeling the two teams would dominate Group A.

Manchester City after the first three games have laid out their store with seven points. Juventus at the halfway stage have yet to really make the predicted challenge all the betting was expecting and having only managed three straight draws have some work yet to do.

Juve from their first 3-3 draw in the competition against Lech Poznan have they rarely shown any of the danger you would expect from the Italian side. Roberto Mancini would have been satisfied with City’s 1-1 draw at Eastlands giving his side a nice 3 point cushion on top of the table.

Man City’s odds have been lengthened as the competition has progressed and if they are to win the group now would be the best time for dedicated sports bets to be placed as the betting will only shorten from here on inwards. Juve’s slow start has seen their odds increase as the task becomes more difficult but you can never underestimate this team. Juventus have two home matches in the last three games and one of these is against Manchester City. You would be hard pressed to see them loosing this tie at the Stadio Olimpico.

Man City are being quoted at 4/11, while Juventus are 10/3 to win the group. Qualifying odds gives City 1/41, Juventus 3/10 and Lech Poznan a good outside bet at 17/10.
