More betting scandal emerged in what has become a year of match-fixing revelations as tennis star; Roger Federer has been named in a bet related court case.

Federer has denied any involvement in recent betting scandal investigations with his management company, IMG. Teddy Forstmann, the head of the company for the sixteen-times Grand Slam winner is being prosecuted for tax evasion and gambling related tax losses. The case also alleges that Federer shared privy information with the head of IMG allowing him to profit.

The owner of Agate Printing Inc reported that Forstmann has discussed a conversation he had with Federer prior to him beating Nadal in the 2007 French Open. The information allegedly led to Forstmann putting a £25,400 bet on Federer to win the match. Jim Agate has charged Forstmann in court with charging the company astronomical tax associated liabilities after the bet failed to come in.

Both Federer and Forstmann have seriously denied the case and Federer has said “I know it’s 100% true.” He said “he was relaxed about this because he is completely honest within the sport.”

"The last thing I would do is harm the sport or creative a negative light on the sport. So it's disappointing that someone is throwing my name around. I would never do such a thing.”

"My fans know that and the people who know me know that. I have nothing to hide; I'm sorry for those who think there is something to the story," Federer commented.
