Two for One World Cup Bet

The next sitting of the World Cup Committee will see them deciding on two world cup venues at once, twice the value for your gambling money. The England organisers announced their decision to pull out of hosting the 2022 tournament to concentrate their efforts on bringing the 2018 event back home. 

This leaves the betting wide open for both world spectaculars with England facing stiff competition against Russia and a joint Spain/ Portugal combo putting forward a good case too. 

Japan meanwhile, are gambling their efforts on the 2022 competition, believing they will be more prepared by then. They will also have a tough time in another group of death going up against favourites Australia, but also credible submissions from Qatar, South Korea and the United States. 

The question in everyone’s mind is what criteria will the committee be employing this time around. The 2018 event is nearer with more traditional choices, while the 2022 is twelve years away and throws up all sorts of questions. If they feel that Japan and South Korea having jointly hosted the World Cup ’02 are not likely to represent any advancement in the game then you are left with Australia or Qatar. 

The chances are slim that even unpredictable Sepp Blatter will fancy and all-seated, air-con stadium, desert festival, over the options available in Australia. You never know though where the chips will fall, he did after all bring us the first African World Cup, so the Middle East may not be beyond his reckoning.
