Will Webber Manage to Keep His Nerve

Going into the Japanese Grand Prix, F1 now enters its final stages, as there are only four races left and 25 points separating the top five drivers. In this ‘all to play for’ contest Mark Webber is favourite to hold his nerve and take this years title.

Betting odds quoted by Paddy Power are giving Webber a 7/4 chance of winning the 2010 F1 championship but with his teammate, Sebastien Vittel installed as favourite at 7/4 to take this weekend’s meet. If that is the case the whole event could go down to the wire.

After sterling efforts over the last three races Fernando Alonso is being given odds of 11/4 to make it three wins on the trot. The British pair of Hamilton and Button are at 4/1 and 15/2 despite both having good starts to the season and will not like the betting odds of 7/2 to come away with nothing on Sunday.

All the drivers will want to keep their points ticking over at this important stage but as Hamilton will tell you its not always in your hands. He suffered three non-finishes in the last two races without putting a foot wrong.

While the championship is not going to be decided this weekend there is immense pressure on all the drivers to win points. Webber will be feeling the pressure and especially as he knows Vittel has a good record on the Suzuka track.
