Poker Table Setup
There are many online poker tables, but most all will look exactly the same due to the setup of the game. All poker games require a minimum of two players, while some will require more and this will dictate also how the poker tables are set up. There are a few major online poker sites allows you to open your own private poker tables on their site for play. To set up your own table however, most require that you have previously downloaded the software for use at home so that when you play you not only have the option of playing online, but can do so offline as well. In order to set up your own poker tables, here is some information that can be used on most all of the sites that allow for private setting up of poker tables.
Open up your client, which is the place where you downloaded the original software to your computer. Click on the options menu which is available on all downloaded software available for play. Under the welcome area you will want to click on the pull down menu beneath the welcome area. Click on the create private tables option to begin.
There will then be either a small pop up window to appear, or another small drop down menu area that will let you choose the type of game you wish to play, as well as the stakes to buy in to the table. You will choose your options from this menu. After completion, there will be an option to create a password for your private poker table. If you were to choose Texas hold’em for example, you could select the option for stakes such as $1 or $2, which means you are playing a limit table. With this game chosen, you would have small blind bets of a quarter each and big blind bets of $.50 each. In order to have a no limit table, you would have to choose one of the fixed price options such as NL $10.
After completing these options, you will have about 10 minutes to fill the seats in your table. In order to find your poker table, you would have to use a panel in the software client. There will be a directory tree that has subsections for use. Go to the top and look for Real Money, and click on the plus sign on the side to expand the tree. Beneath this listing you will look for the game you are playing and click again; then look for your table’s name beneath that game and click on your table. Now simply wait for your friends to log into the table and now you can win their money.
There are other options available for the different software clients for setting up your poker tables. Some will require no password, and in order to enter the private table you would simply approve anyone who wishes to join. Your software client will have full instructions in the instructions for set up.
