Poker Table Tops

A poker table top is a table top that lies over the top of a table that has the set up used for poker games on one side, or better understood as a poker table without legs. Poker table tops give the experience of a casino poker table top without losing all the money at a casino. Poker table tops are available in different shapes and sizes, and are made to fit on different types of home tables.

The main advantage to having a poker table top is that it is much less expensive than a folding table that is commonly used for home games. There are no legs to add to the bulk, making them a more affordable alternative to the actual poker tables sold across the internet. The poker table tops are more portable than poker tables, as they will fold up into smaller sizes and are easier to store, since most come with a carrying case of some kind. Setup as well as the removal of poker table tops is much easier than poker tables, as it only takes a few minutes to unfold the poker table top and place it. There are many designs, as some have more than just poker markings on the surface. Some come with blackjack and craps markings, while others are simply created for nothing but variations of poker.

These are the least expensive but are the most portable of all options available. The poker table tops generally come in 2 shapes: octagon and oval. The octagon tops are normally used on round or square tables and can generally accommodate up to 8 players at one time. Oval tops are normally used on rectangular tables and can seat up to 10 players at once for larger games.

Poker table tops are made in many variations and for different games. There are many Texas Hold’em table top layouts that include the printed markings for the games they are created for including an areas for bets to be placed and a dealer’s area as well. Slots for each player’s chips are generally found in the higher end models along with a beverage holder in the center. Some players do not wish to have drinks on their poker table tops, therefore the table tops can be found without this option as well. Other poker table tops simply have chip holders and beverage holders and no other markings on the surface so that they can be used to play most any poker game you choose. In this way there is no confusion for players about the game that is being played and the game can be changed on a whim.
