Using A Poker Bot
A poker bot is a name for software on a computer that is able of playing card games and is generally used unwittingly against unsuspecting players in the place of a human player. There are many online websites dedicated to selling these poker bots, and telling purchasers how to use them to gain money on a daily basis. Some even promote buying a whole other computer for use with automated poker bots so that no work at all is needed to win poker hands online. There are some brands that even push their bots but tell you that it cannot be used on some international sites that accept United States customers. One ad for a poker bot states that if you are making less than $100 an hour playing poker, that you should just use an automated poker bot. The fact that this money is not gained by your actual skill and talent is enough for most people to simply ignore the poker bot. However, there are many that use poker bots and do gain income from their use.
There are poker bots available for most all variations of poker. One poker bot in particular allows the owner to collaborate with other owners of the same poker bot while online to box in other players and split their winnings between the two owners. So actually what the poker bot does in this instance, is disclose the two owner’s cards to one another. The major down side of poker bots other than the fact they are cheating and all professionals look down on the software, is that it takes an in depth knowledge of C++ in order to program the poker bots prior to use. These software packages do not come pre-programmed and therefore you will not generally have a working poker bot straight after buying.
There are some poker bots that require you to sign up for a poker site that receives commission off of your use of the bot. There are some that are scams in this light; therefore it is best if you plan on using the poker bot that you do research and ensure that the bot actually works first. There are some that offer 2 separate modes including play or real money. Some are said to be looser on simple play mode, but does well on real money tables. Many have stop and start buttons so you can simply use the poker bot to play your pre-flop hands or until you get a hand that is actually worth playing, then you can take over.
Beware of using poker bots offline, as there are some that are formulated for online use only. These generally are found to be full of holes and unable to work properly on most sites. The prices for online bots range from $200 to $300 per annum, therefore it is best if you can find a trial prior to paying for any poker bots. There are some sites that when they find out you are using poker bots, will ban you from the site and will alert other sites to your activity. Therefore by using bots you can simply have no more of a poker career than a man with no hands.
